What Baste Duterte and family will wear on inauguration day

According to Aztec Barba, designer of Baste Duterte, they want to help and promote the Mindanaoan silk so that the "workers who produce it will have a stable livelihood."

Baste Duterte and his family are all set to attend President-elect Rodrigo Duterte's oath-taking on Thursday, June 30.

With only two days left before the inauguration day, their designer gave a sneak peek of their Filipiniana outfits through GMA's 24 Oras:

Baste will be wearing a Barong Tagalog made by Davao Fashion and Design Council (DFDC) out of Mindanaoan silk woven from Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental.

Its design was some inspired by a Mindanaoan tribe.

His girlfriend Kate will be wearing a terno made of Pia, with lace details on the mid-section.

Their two-year-old son, Yair, also has a miniature Barong.

Meanwhile, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte will be clad in a royal blue gown by Silverio Anglacer.

Davao Vice-Mayor Paolo Duterte will be wearing a barong made by designer Erwin Lee Tan.
