One of the most underrated fashion accessories in our country is scarf.
Ang init kasi.
During cold months, Pinays would use balabal. Scarf is somewhat alanganin for their back.
But hey, some stars have been using it for aesthetic purposes.
Carolina Herrera, the go-to designer of First Ladies in U.S., included it in her equation for elegance.
"You can take an inexpensive sheath, add a pretty scarf, gray shoes, and a wonderful bag, and it will always be elegant."
Here are seven out of the many (some sites cited over 1,000) ways you can wear a scarf with your dress or shirt or any top.
1. Neck wrap
Loop it around your neck. Make a half knot with the ends, up near your neck.
2. The allure
Drape it around your neck. Bring both ends to the front. Fluff the middle. Tie both ends, then put to one side. Make the necessary adjustments to make it look fuller.
3. The bow
Simply loop it around your neck until you achieve your desired length for the ribbon.
4. The Knot
Simply tie it.
Here's a neater version.
5. Modern cowboy
Fold your scarf in half to form a triangle not a rectangle. Grab the two points with the longest distance between them, wrap it around to the back of your neck. Tie in a double knot.
6. Hair bow
Marian Rivera has been using her Hermes twilly on her hair.
7. Drape
Hang it on your shoulders for that pop of color. Just don't lose it, especially if it is a silk scarf by Gucci.
