Kylie Verzosa kept her promise.
During her send-off, she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) how she plans to represent the Filipinas in her bid for the Miss International 2016 pageant in Tokyo, Japan.
She said, "Someone who is very classy and elegant.
"Someone that they could look up to, someone who’s a woman of substance."
Today, October 27, she was won the title, making her the sixth Pinay to win the crown.
How did she stand out? Here are six of the gowns she wore during the competition.
1. National costume
Designed by Francis Libiran, it was an avant-garde Philippine Terno, which, according to the designer, was "inspired by the intricate carvings of San Agustin Church, the oldest church in the Philippines."
2. Evening gown
Also by Francis Libiran, it was intricately embellished with bead and embroidery.
3. Little black dress at the Saitama Dinner Party
Again, it was designed by Francis Libiran.
4. Metallic gown at the Nigata Reception Dinner
It was designed by Cherry Veric.
5. Glittering cape gown at the Hakone welcome party.
She wore another Cherry Veric gown.
Behind Kylie was Miss International 2015 Edymar Martinez making sure the queen would look picture perfect.
6. Nude bow dress at the reception party
It was designed by Mark Bumgarner.
