"I was not at all offended... I was cringing when you suggested for me to check @dolce&gabbana. this post is the 2017 collection," Gretchen Barretto told the netizen who tried to advise her about high-end brands.

Gretchen Barretto is one of the most-followed Filipina celebrities when it comes to fashion.

She knows her brands well and has the means to afford the most luxurious pieces may it be dresses, heels, sneakers, or accessories.

On May 23, 2017, La Greta gave her Instagram followers a peek inside her "happy place" a.k.a. her walk-in closet in a series of video posts.

She captioned: "My love for detail & fabric"

This specific clip featured three dresses which are "part of my Top 15 or so pieces for this season."

However, a netizen with the Instagram handle @99murmer referred to the actress's dresses as "too embellished" and "old looking."

She even advised the celebrity mom to "check" brands "Marni, Dolce e Gabbana, Roksanda Ilincic, and Erdem out."

The comment has been deleted at press time.

Greta didn't let this comment go unnoticed.

To this, she quickly fired back, "@99murmer if you know your BRANDS WELL, you will know what this collection is. Lol if you check your brands again, you will know that your advice is....(monkey emoji)"

The 47-year-old fashionista added, "I was not at all offended... I was cringing when you suggested for me to check @dolce&gabbana. this post is the 2017 collection."

She also wrote, "FYI D&G & dolce&gabbana is one & the same."

"FYI all that you mentioned happen to be TOP BRANDS (laughing emoji)."

In fact, Gretchen was the third Filipina to get an OOTD regram from Stefano Gabbana, half of the Italian design duo  Dolce & Gabbana, himself last May 21.

Kapuso actresses Marian Rivera and Heart Evangelista also got the attention of this man.
