Maine Mendoza doesn't regard herself a fashionista.
Nevertheless, the 22-year-old Kapuso star found herself included on Preview Magazine’s "Best Dressed List" for 2017.
She was named the “Surprising Style-Setter.”
Thanks to her talented team of stylists from Liz Uy’s StyLIZed Studio, Maine learned a thing or two on how to dress herself up.
Her fashion guidelines: “Keep it simple, keep it classy, nothing outlandish, invest in classic items you can never go wrong with.”
Apart from the classic must-have closet pieces such as plain white tee, classic white polo, or little black dress, Maine already began her investment in more “luxurious and well-deserved accessories.”
Her latest purchase?
Her dream bag: a Chanel 2.55 flap bag.
As one of the label’s most popular styles, the bag could retail up to $4900 or PHP248,349.
She purchased it in Hong Kong.
Maine also owns a Gucci Dionysius, which she has used only twice so far.
One of Maine’s go-to online shops, Net-A-Porter, sells it from $1,748 to $6,983 (PHP88,595 to PHP353,923).
Aside from her prized Chanel and Gucci bags, the young actress-host also has a Prada tote bag and a Celine bag, which was her first fashion splurge.
But still, Maine prefers simplicity.
She would only purchase these luxury items whenever she has a bonus pay.
Comfort has also become her style priority.
Maine remarked, “I’ve realized that as you grow up, you’ll be more concerned about comfort.”
