Ready for Mrs. Grey?
The third and final installment of Fifty Shades of Grey will finally be released this coming Valentine's Day.
One of the highly-anticipated highlights of this final film will undoubtedly be the wedding of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, and all eyes will be on Anastasia's wedding gown!
Who designed her lace-embellished wedding frocks?
Commissioned by the film's costume designer Shay Cunliffe, Filipino designer Monique Lhuillier was tasked to craft Mrs. Grey's wedding gown.
This is Monique's second time to dress actress Dakota Johnson after creating the silver number her character wore to the masquerade ball in the previous installment, Fifty Shades Darker.
Known for her romantic approach to wedding frocks and evening wear, Monique created an off-shoulder gown with a relaxed trumpet silhouette.
From the back, the gown features sheer lace and a trail of buttons that cascades to a short train.
Here's a closer look at the gown.
Monique's gown embodies her aesthetic as a designer—traditional and timeless yet dainty and chic—and, of course, encapsulates Ana's sweet and feminine character in the film.
