Heart Evangelista was named by fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar US as one of the "Real Crazy Rich Asians."

The 33-year-old fashionista along with three other Asian style icons—Feiping Chang, and sisters Rachel and Michelle Yeoh—shot a feature with Crazy Rich Asians author Kevin Kwan for the U.S.-based fashion magazine during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week 2018 last July.

Heart first hinted about the feature through an Instagram post last July 2.

With Kevin by her side, many fans speculated that the Kapuso star might have a special participation in the upcoming movie adaptation of the hit novel.

She wrote, "Lovely company on my first evening in Paris..."

Kevin also penned an article for the fashion magazine and shared his experience watching haute couture fashion shows with the four Asian style stars.

The Singaporean–American novelist described Heart as a "modern-day incarnation of Audrey Hepburn."

Talking to Kevin, Heart discussed her passion for fashion and how it helps inspire her own art as a painter.

The My Korean Jagiya star also recalled how she started painting on luxury bags.

"I had an orange lizard skin Birkin bag and I was eating french fries at Chili’s, and I didn’t realize I was getting grease all over the bottom...

"I tried to clean it, but it was just impossible to fix, so I thought, 'Why don’t I paint on it?'

"I sketched a yellow bird on a branch of flowers, and people started raving about it.

"A lot of women have their bags stained somewhere—one woman’s daughter had scribbled all over her Birkin—so all these clients started coming to me and asking, 'Can you paint on my bag?'"

In the fashion video feature, Heart wore the creations of Filipino designer Mark Bumgarner, some luxury pieces from Dries Van Noten, Tibi, and Ulyana Sergeenko.

The actress also donned a couture off-the-runway piece from Armani Privé.

Early today, August 16, Heart expressed her gratitude towards Kevin and the team behind Harper's Bazaar US for including her in the feature.

Heart wrote, "I woke up to one of the most amazing features in my life!

"My last trip to Paris was a very special one because not only was I there for couture week but I had been invited by @kevinkwanbooks who has now become a dear friend!

"He was doing a special 'Crazy Rich Couture' feature for Harper's Bazaar US and asked me if I would be interested in being a part of it.

"I had the honor of being featured alongside some of the most incredible and stylish Asian icons.

"I am beyond grateful to Kevin and the entire Harper's team for being such a dream to work with!

"I’m so incredibly proud of this project and would love for you to see it too!

"Grab the September issue of Harper's Bazaar US or click the link in my bio! @harpersbazaarus"

In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the press last Tuesday, August 14, Heart was asked whether she'll take part in the sequel of Crazy Rich Asians which will be based on the book China Rich Girlfriend.

The Kapuso talent answered, "I don't know. I don't think so. Not that I know of, but you know, it's a dream so why not."
