A lot has noticeably changed in Lovi Poe's personal style since she joined showbiz in 2006.
The 29-year-old actress started out as an awkward teenybopper, but look at her now—a shoo-in for the list of best-dressed celebrities at red carpet events.
"It's changed so much," Lovi told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) about her fashion style.
PEP.ph interviewed her at the opening of Coach's new store in Power Plant Mall, Makati City on Thursday, September 20.
Lovi came from a generation of celebrities who did not have stylists, and she herself was often seen in casual OOTDs.
The Kapuso actress said she has been grateful to her celebrity best friend Heart Evangelista for putting some fashion sense in her style.
She said, "Through the years, I remember Heart was actually the first person who taught me how to dress up.
"It was so simple. It was just a pair of jeans, a white polo, and a nice belt.
"What's great about her is that she's very generous when it comes to... You know how friends always help each other.
"She was there to actually help me when it came to fashion until I finally developed my own vision and, you know, have my own fashion sense."
"I'm like super intense about it... because when I started in the industry, I didn't care about fashion.
"I was just very laid back. I would always go for something that... I didn't have that definite style yet."

The former The One That Got Away actress often chooses clothes she's comfortable in but are stylish at the same time.
Lovi said, "It's a way of expressing yourself so ako, when it comes to certain events, I get really excited on what to wear.
"And when I collaborate with designers, I'm very hands on and they're very open to collaborating with me in terms of what they want and what I want.
"We try to put them together."
