ABS-CBN actress Kim Chiu and Mexican-American actress/host Alejandra Espinoza were in for a red carpet battle when they wore the same Michael Cinco couture gown on separate occasions.
The ball gown was from Michael Cinco's The Impalpable Dream of The Chrysalis Spring/Summer 2019 collection.
Kim wore the gown to the ABS-CBN Ball 2018 last September 29, at the Rizal Ballroom of Makati Shangri-La hotel.
According to the Dubai-based Filipino designer, the gown was custom-made for Kim, and took over 500 hours to make.
It featured hand-painted butterfly details and intricate beadwork on its bodice.
Michael wrote on his Instagram post, "The super stunning KIM CHIU @chinitaprincess looks sensational on the red carpet wearing a black butterfly hand painted ball gown from Michael Cinco’s The Impalpable Dream of The CHRYSALIS Spring-Summer 2019 Collection at the ABS-CBN Ball 2018...
"The gown bodice was custom-made for her and it took 500 hours to make with exquisite beadwork all made by skilled artisans...Thank you @pattyyap for the amazing styling... @sayed5inco @eds_89"

On the other hand, Alejandra looked equally stunning wearing the same gown at the 2018 Latin Grammys, which was held on November 15, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Alejandra was styled by Lucia Maldonado and by Mexican celebrity hair and makeup artist Marco Peña.
The 31-year-old TV host rose to fame after winning the reality talent search called Nuestra Belleza Latina in 2007. She later hosted the same program in 2014 and in 2018.
She also hosted the 2015 Latin-American boy band search La Banda, the peg for the Kapamilya singing competition Pinoy Boyband Superstar.
