Judy Ann Santos knows that Pinoys have their own ways of enjoying adobo.

Her restaurant Angrydobo currently serves four variations of adobo: Angrydobo Classic, Angrydobo Chicken, Angrydobo Short ribs, and Angrydobo Sardines with Egg.

The latest addition is going to be creamy.

The Starla actress says, "Kasi ako all this time, adobo, ang partner ko talaga laing," she reveals.

"Gusto ko iyong profile ng kinakain kong pagkain, it should be salty. It should be sweet and creamy.

But, of course, not everyone likes gata with their adobo...

"We appreciate the fact that people acknowledge you can actually eat your adobo like this.

"I just love the fact that I was able to introduce to some a different flavor profile. Nakaka-happy siya."

IMPROVING THE MENU

Angrydobo is Judy Ann's family business venture with husband Ryan Agoncillo, his brother Dondee, and Dondee's wife Maloo.

The adobo restaurant's name is inspired by an anecdote Ryan shared on his Instagram feed in February 2019.

How is the restaurant doing so far?

Judy Ann tells PEP.ph, "It's doing good. It's doing very good...

"But you know, we also get negative feedback from people, but we take it as a learning process. We learn from it every day."

The hands-on chef acknowledges that not everyone will like her take on the dish, but she takes into consideration their taste.

"Iba naman may matamis na adobo, so we take our cue from suggestions of other people, but without sacrificing the flavor. Kumbaga iyon iyong flavor ng adobo ko."

Still, business is going strong for Angrydobo, which opened in May 2019 along Taft Avenue in Manila.
