Gram Café & Pancakes has opened its second branch at Serendra in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Established in 2014, Gram Café & Pancakes is a well-known all-day breakfast restaurant in Osaka, Japan. The restaurant is widely known for its jiggly stacks of fluffy pancakes.
It first opened in the country at the SM Megamall two years ago,
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) visited its second branch ahead of its grand opening at BGC last April 9, 2020.
And, of course, the star of the show is their Premium Pancakes (PHP385/stack of three). The premium pancakes are light, soft, fluffy, and quite addicting. Soufflé pancakes often have that eggy taste but Gram's version doesn't have that aftertaste.

Choco lovers can opt for the Chocolate Premium Pancake with Chocolate Lava (PHP405/stack of three). The best part of this pancake is the warm and thick chocolate ganache that oozes from the center.

Their Crème Brûlée French Toast (PHP325) is worth the try. These french toasts are made of thick slices of Brioche bread that are soaked into a rich and creamy homemade custard and topped with fresh berries.

Those who want to try something savory, Gram PH's Japanese-style sandwiches, known as "Sando," are definitely a must-try.
Gram's marketing manager Genellane Lim said, "We released this one, the 'Sando.' Additional na ito sa main menu na nanggaling sa Japan. So we added the 'Sando.' We have Tamago, which is the egg. And then we have Chicken and Pork Katsu."
Prices: Pork Katsu & Karaage (PHP365), Tamago & Chicken Karaage (PHP335), and Tamago & Pork Katsu (PHP335).

IG-WORTHY SPOTS
Aside from their delectable pancakes, Gram's BGC branch also offers Instagram-worthy spots.
According to Genellane, they've tapped a Hong Kong-based interior designer to make the branch picture-perfect for social media feeds.
Gram's pioneer branch opened in February 2020, barely a month old before the country was put on a lockdown to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The pandemic also pushed back the planned second branch.
According to Genellane, "Nag-recover naman kami agad... Ang challenge is siyempre walang dine-in.
"So we had to promote our pancakes na they can do it at home, parang Gram At Home.
"We had deliveries, 'tapos for like the Christmas season, we did the holiday trays para they can order and give as gifts."
She said other branches have also been in the planning, "Hopefully, yes. Hopefully, soon. Hahapan lang tayo ng locations, of course.
"But we're very excited that we opened our second branch. Kasi this has been naman our plan naman talaga, to open several branches.
"But because of the pandemic, siyempre na-hold yung plan na yun. But right now, we're slowly getting back to normal, ganun.
"So we're very happy that we have opened our second branch."
