The Grab 5-Star Eats Awards recognized community restaurants and food MSMEs for excellence in food and service, based on millions of customer ratings.
The program covered businesses ranging from microenterprises to medium-sized establishments.
Grab 5-Star Eats Awards spawned from a basic intention: recognize a food business not just based on a critic's verdict or a fleeting moment of popularity.
The winners were chosen using three measures:
- The People's Verdict that tallied the votes cast by users for their favorite restaurants and dishes
- The Experts' Validation executed through a blind tasting judged by food experts, journalists and content creators
- The Data's Proof, which was drawn from the platform's own service metrics.

THE GRAB 5-STAR EATS WINNERS
The nominees came from different parts of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Most awardees received bronze, silver, or gold rankings, while platinum represented the highest distinction.

Cams Tuason, director for Commercial at Grab Philippines, highlighted the importance of the first-ever edition of the award-giving initiative.
"Grab 5-Star Eats takes the community restaurants that millions already love and carries those names past their own neighborhoods," said Tuason during her speech at the awarding ceremony held in Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City on September 3, 2026.
"A small kitchen shouldn't have to outspend a household name to be discovered— what they cook and serve should be enough. The merchants we recognize at the Grab 5-Star Eats Awards are proof of that.
"They earned this one plate, one order, one honest review at a time. We are honored to stand with them, and we will stand with them still—for as long as it takes to see their growth through."
