Looks like Kapuso leading lady Kris Bernal has been bitten hard by the entrepreneurial bug.
After basking in the success of her MeatKRIS burger stall business, the Impostora star is ready to diversify and branch out into Korean cuisine.
Despite being busy with her hectic shooting skeds for her afternoon teleserye, Kris still finds time to do preliminary leg work and construction for SEOULMeat, her new Korean barbeque-inspired restaurant scheduled to open next year.
In her Instagram post last month, Kris could be seen milling about what looked like the foundations of her new resto, situated in Don Antonio Heights, Commonwealth, Quezon City.
Before this, she flew to South Korea to do more intensive research on Korean cuisine, sniffing out potential menu items that would possiby click with Pinoy foodies.
In an exclusive interview via Facebook Messenger, she said passion is an important ingredient to any successful business venture.
"I have no background of food business at all. There are a lot of things I’ve learned from handling a business.
"There are three important keys for me as a first-timer:
"1. Love what you do and make sure you’ll never lose your interest about your concept.
"2. Be hands-on and know what will make your business different from competitors.
"3. Treat your employees like a family."
When asked about her biggest challenge, she answered, "To take the risk."
Kris continued, "It’s a lot of money. Every thing is a test at first."
