Was it just February 25 of this year when Rochelle Pangilinan gave birth to her baby girl Shiloh?
Less than five months after becoming a mom, the wife of Arthur Solinap is ready to make a showbiz comeback.
On Instagram, she posted three photos of her clad in a red (her favorite color!) cut-out dress, flaunting her curves, and leaving her followers amazed.
Among them was actress-director Gina Alajar, who commented, "Grabe naman!!! Mas lalong sumeksi!!!"
Most of them quickly noticed, "Ang bilis pumayat."
But those who constantly browse through her social-media feeds would know that Rochelle was truly committed to her balik-alindog program.
HOW ROCHELLE LOST THE PREGNANCY WEIGHT
As soon as she got the OB-gynecologist's go-signal, she started doing her morning jogs again.
Normally, new moms can resume their fitness activities six weeks after giving birth.
Rochelle was "game na ulit" on April 11.
"Tiyaga at sipag" helped her lose the extra pounds.
To be more specific: "1 hour light exercise lang everyday."
Posting her March 17 and June 19 photos side by side, she successfully got rid of her mukhang "9 months preggy" body.
Of course, breastfeeding helped.
According to the bump.com website, with proper diet, it can help "burn extra calories—approximately 850 calories a day, to be exact."
In the case of Rochelle, who was also regularly jogging and dancing before and even during her pregnancy, she also has muscle memory to thank for.
This would answer the question, "Bakit flat na ulit yung tummy niya?"
A kinesiology professor explained it to WomensHealthMag.com this way:
"...when you teach your body how to do something—ride a bike, surf, strike some yoga poses, run a few miles—it creates a physiological blueprint. So even if you take some time off, you'll get back to where you were faster than it took you to learn the exercise in the first place.
"Muscle memory stems from your body's learning not just how to perform a task, but also how to break down muscle tissue and then repair and rebuild it."
Welcome back, Rochelle!
