LJ Moreno had set a goal for herself in 2018, a few months after giving birth to her third child on October 23, 2017.
When the mother of three saw that she weighed 150 pounds, the former actress challenged herself to get back to her "pre-wedding" weight of 115 pounds.
Fast forward to October 2019, LJ now weighs 116 pounds.
"I've lost a total of 33.2 pounds since last year!" the celebrity mom says in an Instagram post dated October 7.
Playing a crucial role in her fitness journey is her husband, Jimmy Alapag, who is also her fitness buddy.
The two work out with their trainer Edwin Mondala at home.
"So thankful coach @mondalaedwin can come to the house because it's hard for me to get to the gym since family life and my business take up most of my time.
"It also helps that my husband and I are on the same page when it comes to staying fit and looking good for each other right my love?!"
Consistency is also key to achieving her weight goal.
"I commited to a low carb and low sugar diet..."
In another post, LJ mentions taking a slimming tea every morning, and adds, "I also make it a point to workout 3-4 times a week.
"If I can't do Muay Thai I do a combination of kickboxing and zumba workouts on You Tube.
LJ and Jimmy then post their morning workout routine on YouTube.
In the vlog, Jimmy explains why he and LJ are dedicating time to exercise.
The former basketball player says, "As parents, we need our energy during the day. With me coaching and LJ running her own business, you know, it's really important for us to stay fit just for us to have enough energy throughout the day to spend time with the kids.
"Wake up super early to get them ready for school, handle what we do with our own jobs, and then still pick them up for school. And then they have homework and they have Taekwondo and they have dance class, so, you know, having three kids creates a very, very full day.
"Luckily, we have Coach Edwin who keeps us in shape and just helps us have that energy throughout the day to manage everything that's going on."
The couple has three kids: Ian Maximus, 7, Keona Skye, 4, and Calen Asher, 1.
LJ and Jimmy each do three rounds of stretching, sparring, and core exercises. Then Jimmy adds jumping rope to his routine, while LJ has zumba.
"That's what I usually do after three rounds of sparring," the celebrity mom says in the vlog.
"Nagzu-zumba muna ako kasi I'm not the type that likes jump rope. Hindi ako mahilig mag-jump rope o magtakbo-takbo diyan sa labas, and mas na-e-enjoy ko iyong dance."
The celebrity entrepreneur suggests zumba as a fun alternative to traditional cardio.
"I suggest na you look for videos on YouTube dahil maraming mga videos diyan either for dancing, hip-hop dancing o ano namang type ng dancing na gusto niyo. Meron ring kick-boxing na video, so walang excuse para hindi tayo mag-workout."
LJ first talked about her fitness journey early this year.
In April, the actress posted a comparison photo of herself in April 2018 and then in April 2019. The difference was noticeable.
Her caption read: "Been training with coach @mondalaedwin for a year now. He posted the photo on the left today so I wanted to take another one to see the progress. I weighed 150 lbs. on the left photo and even if I was convinced the weighing scale was broken, I made a decision to get back in shape.
"I challenged myself to get back to my pre wedding weight which is 115 lbs."
LJ personally thought it wouldn't be possible given that she has three kids to look after and a business to attend to, but "when you want to achieve something you really just have to make time and put your mind to it."
She was already 120 pounds when she posted that photo.
