Ever heard of the "G-spot injection"?
At the Belo GLOW Pop-up Booth event on Wednesday, February 26, at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Dra. Vicki Belo said this treatment promises to enhance sexual pleasure and heighten orgasm.
Women may not openly talk about these, but they are becoming more aware of the importance of vaginal health.
She told PEP.ph, "Now, everything is going... maganda na yung face ng mga tao, ang gusto nila, down there, maganda rin.
"Of course, in intimate moments, you want naman to be beautiful down there."
Dra. Vicki added, "But more than that, it's all about women empowerment.
"Before, it used to be, my mom would say, 'Parang sacrifice to have sex to make your husband happy.'
"But now, it's all about enjoying it as well, and getting the most out of it.
"When you get old kasi, things parang nagfa-flatten, napipisa. So this one makes it more firm. So it tightens and it holds more."
Dra. Vicki said the procedure is expected to last a little over an hour, and the result can last up to nine months.
"No surgery and it's painless, promise. Walang pain at all."
Dra. Vicki went on to describe how the procedure is done.
She narrated: "In the vagina, there's something called the G-spot. The G-spot is only a spot, which means it's hard to stimulate that spot 'cause it's too small.
"So what we do now is to make the G-spot to a 'G-area.' So it becomes [bigger].
"How do you make it that big?
"First, you put anesthesia cream so you wouldn't feel any pain... then you inject the filler into the skin, into the mucosa, expanding it so that the nerves are now more open, closer to the surface and in a wider space.
"When you have intercourse, the guy's reproductive organ, mas marami siyang nata-touch and that's the G-spot because that's where you get the vaginal orgasm."
Dra. Vicki said this treatment is better paired with "Thermiva," also known as the Thermage for other body parts, which helps tighten the area.
She said, "It's also tightening, we have tightening machines. It's better to combine.
"Di ba, may Thermage to tighten your face? May Thermage din to tighten the inside.
"Actually, it's much more effective kasi wala ng skin. Ang area na you wanna hit is the dermis, the mucosa.
"Down there, wala ng skin, wala ng thickness, so you really hit the mucosa and it tightens.
"Then you want to put the filler so it's a little more rigid, parang merong sungkit."
Pricing details of this treatment are not yet available but some of Dra. Vicki's closest friends already tried the treatment.
