Yassi Pressman's Diet & Lifestyle Changes

Yassi Pressman is back on track with her desired fitness and weight loss goals.

In an episode of morning show Magandang Buhay aired on May 17, 2023, Yassi talked about getting back in shape after the height of the pandemic.

She recalled, "Nung pandemic po kasi, nag-stop din ang lahat ng work. Kaya naman parang feeling ko, i-relax na lang din muna natin yung sarili natin.

"And before, I was training so hard, working so hard, parang sometimes nga rin po, my eating habits weren't the best.

"Kaya po nagkaroon po ako ng health coach. Si Coach Darren [Liu], Coach Carlos [Hellstern].

"More than anything, ang pinaka-importante is also what you eat. So, with your diet, your nutrition."

While showcasing her culinary skills on the show by cooking pesto pasta with grilled chicken, she encouraged everyone to choose healthier options for ingredients as much as possible.

"Honestly, I love pasta so much. Sobra. Kaya minsan sinusubukan namin na hindi siya gawing sobrang creamy para makabawas ng calories," she shared.

"And then yung ginagamit namin minsan is, parang quinoa pasta, sometimes mga healthier options ng pasta. Gluten-free pasta. Tapos yun, kinakain lang namin."

On a lighter note, she made the audience laugh with a fun piece of trivia about how she started cooking.

"Hindi po kasi ako pinapayagan dati sa kusina," she revealed.

"Makalat daw po akong bata, sabi nila. Sabi ko, ‘Ano ba iyan, paano po ako matututo kung hindi ko susubukan? So ito ngayon, nagkaroon na ng time.’"

When asked where she learned how to cook, Yassi quipped, "Natuto lang po ako sa kapa-kapa academy. Tantsa-tantsa academy, ganern."

YASSI's HEALTHY PRACTICES

Aside from making changes in her diet, Yassi also stressed the importance of pairing clean eating habits with other healthy daily routines.

The 28-year-old TV personality cited, "Tulad ng paggising nang maaga, and then paglakad po muna in the morning.

"Tapos after mo maglakad-lakad, you drink water before you drink any coffee. Mga ganun po na mga maliliit na bagay.

"Water is the most important thing that you can have."

For walking, she suggested, "Kung kaya niyo mag-thirty minutes, better.

"Kung kaya niyo mag-five minutes lang, okay lang. No judgment.

"Basta you can try. And it's better than any type of coffee."

YASSI ON SELF-LOVE

As one of the celebrities lauded for living an active and healthy lifestyle, Yassi got real about expectations people may have in terms of how her body should look.

Yassi acknowledged that it does hurt her to receive body-shaming comments. Her only advice is to remember that self-love is the best defense against it.

"Honestly, masakit din naman ang sasabihin ng mga tao," she said.

"But, at the end of the day, kailangan mong isipin na it's your body, and hindi naman sila ang nakatira sa temple mo.

"It's your home, and you have to be kind to yourself because unang-unang magmamahal sa sarili mo is ikaw rin."
