Lovely Abella is on the road to recovery almost two weeks after giving birth to her first-born child with husband Benj Manalo.

Not long after the healthy baby boy, Liam Emmanuel Manalo, came into their lives, Lovely experienced a sudden complication that led to an emergency operation on September 15, 2023.
In an Instagram post, the mompreneur related (published as is), "After 4 days nagkaroon ako ng infection at need ko isurgery ulit mas malala pa nung nanganak ako ng normal."
She continued, "Kung tatanungin niyo ako paano nangyari, saan nanggaling, bakit nagkaroon ako ang sagot ko lang po ay walang may gusto na mangyari ang lahat ng to."
POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION
Although things were starting to look up for Lovely's family when she was granted an early discharge from the hospital, she soon found herself battling a mood disorder.
Some call it "baby blues," which usually surfaces after birth.
According to the website of March of Dimes, a nonprofit organization in the U.S. that works to improve the health of mothers and babies, "the amount of the hormones estrogen and progesterone suddenly decreases, causing mood swings."
On September 25, 2023, she reported, "Nakauwi na po ako, after 3 days pumayag ang mga Doctors ko dahil nagkaka post partum depression na ata ako...
"Dahil pag patay ang ilaw sa hospital, naninikip ang dibdib ko at bigla akong umiiyak ng malakas."
She assured, "Nagpapagaling na lang po ako. Lalo na ngayon kasama ko na ang Pamilya ko lalo na mga Anak ko. [family emoji]"

Lovely left a meaningful note for those going through similar challenges.
"Kaya natin lahat pero ang mawalay sa pamilya ang isa sa pinaka masaklap na pangyayari na minsan kailangan nating harapin," she related.
"Pero tulad ng lagi kung sinasabi may plano si Lord sa atin kung ano man yun, hindi natin alam basta manalig at higpitan lang natin ang pagkapit natin saknya.
"Dahil walang magulang na ipapahamak ang anak [praying hands emoji] at ang dami naming natutunan sa sitwasyon namin ngayon."
Once more, she acknowledged the people behind the milk donations they continue to receive to this day: "Muli maraming salamat sa mga nagdonate ng milk.
"Di pa ako makakapag breastfeed hanggang Oct. 1 dahil matatapang po ang mga gamot ko, kaya salamat po sa mga milk stash ninyo [praying hands emoji]"
