Ruffa Gutierrez is a pillar of support for her sister-in-law Alexa Gutierrez, who is currently facing the challenges of leukemia.
Alexa is the wife of Ruffa's younger brother Elvis Gutierrez,
Leukemia is described as a cancer of the blood characterized by rapid growth of abnormal blood cells.
On January 14, 2023, Ruffa shared an update on Alexa's health condition.
In her post, she also pictured her sister-in-law as a "a brave and beautiful soul, a devoted wife to Elvis, and a loving mother to Aria and Ezra, her two young daughters."

Calling for a collective prayer effort, Ruffa urged, "In the face of this unforeseen adversity, she needs our prayers and support.
"Let’s storm the heavens and pray for Alexa’s complete healing."
Getting more personal, the 49-year-old celebrity mom addressed Alexa directly in the latter part of the caption.
She wrote, "Lex, you are such a positive, courageous, beautiful and strong human being! I know you can beat this. God has a great plan for you. [praying hands emoji]
"We love you and will walk with you through every step of this journey. Continue to be in high spirits. You’re not alone."

Ruffa also took a moment to extend her gratitude to St. Luke’s Medical Center Global City's medical team, attaching emojis to convey her appreciation for its dedication in looking after Alexa.
She expressed, "YOU ARE THE BEST!!"
