Ibinunyag ni Kris Aquino na tumigil ang kanyang paghinga sa loob ng dalawang minuto sa gitna ng minor procedure na ginawa sa kanya.
Sa Instagram ngayong araw ng Miyerkules, January 14, 2025, nagkuwento si Kris tungkol sa kanyang Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) Line insertion, kung saan isang thin tube ay in-insert sa isang vein para magkaroon ng access sa "larger veins near her heart."
Ayon sa website ng Mayo Clinic, ginagamit daw ito para mas madaling maglagay ng "medicines or liquid nutrition" sa pasyente.
Sabi ni Kris: "THANK YOU for continuing to pray for me to get better, for having FAITH that God will make all things possible.
"I haven’t fully processed what happened, it was supposed to be a minor PICC LINE procedure BUT there was a span of time totaling almost 2 minutes when my lung stopped functioning—I stopped breathing."
Malaki ang pasasalamat niya sa mga doktor. Nung siya ay nagising, nakita raw niya ang mga mukha nila na tila nagsasabing ligtas siya.
"I credit my anesthesiologist, my 2 surgeons, and as soon as I awakened—the reassuring face of my rheumatologist whose concern & love I felt."
Sa recovery room, napagtanto raw ni Kris at ng anak na si Bimby Aquino na utang na loob niya sa mga tao ang kanyang buhay at sa lahat ng mga nagdasal para sa kanya.
Gumamit din siya ng lyrics mula sa sikat na kanta ng The Beattles na "Let it be."
Pagtatapos ni Kris: "In my post-op recovery room, it was future pediatrician/neurologist/or anesthesiologist Bimb’s kiss that made me realize we owe all of you my life—utang namin na buhay pa rin ako, the Holy Spirit guided my doctors and everyone in the OR… as the song lyrics say:

KRIS AQUINO SURGERY DELAYED DUE TO HER "SKY HIGH" BP
Dapat sana'y noong Lunes, January 12, pa ang procedure ni Kris pero hindi ito natuloy dahil tumaas ang kanyang blood pressure.
"This surgery was delayed from yesterday to very soon because my BP was sky high the whole of Sunday—the culprit, my migraine.
"Thank you to my pain management doctor Henry Lu and his entire team for finding the right formula although Sunday night and yesterday I was given a pharmacy."
Natuloy na rin ito kinabukasan, January 13.
"Entering the pre-OP area. Kuya was shaking and automatically grabbed Bimb’s hand.
"I did something right in making sure Bimb grew up knowing he’ll be responsible for his Kuya. And kuya feels secure with Bimb. Going in. #family."
Patuloy pa rin ang gamutan sa iba't ibang auto-immune diseases ni Kris, na nagsimula niyang indahin noong 2021.
