The Queen of All Media related that she was approached by some nuns at a wedding ceremony she attended in Davao, and asked for financial assistance.

Her caption read: “When @mabellada & @stephyap609 got married in the Shrine of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, some sisters approached me telling me they needed financial assistance to complete construction in Monasterio de Sta Clara, Pagibig Heights, Catalunan Grande in Davao City.

“I asked them to formalize their request w/ a letter & I’ll get back to them. Mother Maria wrote me & enclosed her contact #.

“Happy to share that nag clear na my 1st donation, 50% of what I pledged to share w/ them.

“They are contemplative nuns, very close to my Mom’s heart.

“It feels like serendipity because Sta. Clara is the patron saint of television & their monastery chapel is located in PAGIBIG Heights.

“Here are some of the pictures Mother Maria sent me… What an inspiring way for me to honor my faith.”

More than two months later, the Queen of All Media posted some updates about construction of the project.

Despite her “work-related stress, doubts and fears,” Kris was so glad to see the progress, and thanked the nuns of Clarisas Capuchinas Sacramentarias Monastery for their continued prayers for her.

The 45-year-old TV host and actress wrote, “Went through a lot of work related stress, doubts & fears... But I held on to my FAITH.

“Yesterday, I saw pictures of the construction progress for the Chapel of Sta Clara for the Monasterio de Sta Clara in Davao City that I'm helping fund.

“Thank you to the contemplative nuns of Clarisas Capuchinas Sacramentarias for praying for me.

“Health is better; my heart and spirit are renewed...

“It's easy to praise God when things are going our way, but it is truly healing to continue worshiping Him when going through setbacks because our Creator is generous with His Love & healing.”
