Summer season is fast approaching, are you ready to flaunt your body?
Before you start feeling the pressure, Anne Curtis says relax, and avoid giving yourself physical stress.
“Totoo 'yong hashtag, e, #thestruggleisreal.
"It happens. I think that's totally relatable to everyone,” she tells PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at the launch of Century Tuna Superbods 2016 held recently.
The key is to stay focused on your fitness goal.
EAT HEALTHY. “I guess it's about proper eating habits when you have to.
“But, of course, you can't deprive of yourself on a cheat day, which is my Sundays.
“Sometimes I have a nutritionist, Ms. Nadine Tengco, if I have special shoot.”
EXERCISE REGULARLY. “I try to workout every morning. If I have something to prepare for, I'll workout twice a day.
“I like to do a lot of cardio so I do a lot of run. I join a lot of fun runs.
“Of course, I do my weights on the other day that I'm not doing my cardio.”
GET ENOUGH SLEEP. While on the set of FPJ's Ang Probinsyano, Anne tries to nap.
“We're taking catnaps in the car or whenever we're in the car.
“But of course, it's very important that you get enough sleep before you workout.
“Your body also needs recovery.”
#FITSPIRATION. In case you get lost in the middle of your goal, Anne has a suggestion: "Have fitspiration to keep you motivated.
“What I like to do is when I have fitspiration, dinidikit ko ang posters or photos niya in my bathroom.
“From the moment I wake up, kapag talagang alam kong kailangan kong mag-behave, I put the picture on my fridge so that when I open, 'Okay, no chocolate for me.'"
Better yet, Anne adds, “Find a workout buddy so you can push each other kahit tamad na tamad na kayo.”
This year, Anne's fitness goal is to finish a full marathon.
"I'll keep on training for it," she promises herself.
