To say Drew Arellano is excited about his life adventure ahead would be an understatement.
That was what Iya revealed to PEP.ph (Philippines Entertainment Portal) at her pictorial for Calayan Surgicentre on March 31.
She exclaimed, "Ay sobra siyang excited. Sobra, sobra siyang excited.
"Just the way he’ll talk to my belly 'tapos he’ll always check up on me 'tapos pinapagalitan pa niya ako kapag feeling niya umo-over ako with activities, oo, he’s really excited."
Drew, Iya said, has always been fond of children.
"Ako lang talaga hinintay niya until I was ready to have kids.
"So now that I am ready, now that we are on our way, he really can’t wait."
BECOMING READY. Iya remains active in her fitness lifestyle even if she's already in her second trimester.
People around her have been persistently reminding her to minimize her workouts, but she still runs, bikes, swims, and does weights.
Iya said it's her way of preparing for pregnancy and childbirth.
"I’d like to say that getting into a healthy lifestyle and getting into fitness was a way of me getting into the pregnancy.
"Parang how some look at it is the giving birth is like the race day, it’s the marathon.
"So until that day, I just have to continue taking care of myself because if I’m taking care of myself, I’m also taking care of the baby."
But has she been preparing as well for parenthood?
The Kapuso star said, "I don’t know. I don’t know if it is really something that you can exactly prepare for. You can do your best in preparing for it."
