“I work out a lot talaga. I almost work out every day,” said Jessy Mendiola when asked about her beach-ready body.
At the HOOQ’s first anniversary party, the 23-year-old actress told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that exercise has been part of her lifestyle.
Her effective fat-burning routine is “moving.”
“I move a lot. I like moving a lot, palagi akong gumagalaw.
“Malikot akong bata, ang tawag sa akin sa Banana Sundae, malikot na bata.”
She added, “I also started Muay Thai again since I stopped for a while pero ang lakas din makapayat nun.”
If she doesn’t feel like hitting the gym or has no time for workouts at home, Jessy indulges in water sports.
“I do physical activities sa beach, “ she said.
“I swim, I also do kayaking," which is paddling using a double-bladed oar and a small boat known as a kayak.
According to Jessy, it helped her with her muscle strength, particularly in the back, arms, and shoulders.
With regard to her diet, Jessy said, “I watch what I eat pero hindi ako strict sa diet ko, e.
“Kapag ako gusto ko kakainin, kakainin ko, but I make sure na ibe-burn ko yun.”
FITNESS MOTIVATION. It’s not easy to achieve and maintain a fit body, especially during "nakakatamad days."

She said, “'Ay wala akong picture today hindi ako nakapag-workout,' that keeps me going.
“I take and look at my photos when I work out every time."
Checking weight is a no-no to Jessy.
She explained, “Sa physical appearance ako nagbe-base.
“Weight is just a number.
“Minsan kapag nagcro-cross fit ka or nagbubuhat ka sa gym, bibigat ka talaga.
“Pero kapag tinignan mo yung sarili mo sa mirror or sa picture, ang ganda!
“So don’t base on your weight.
“Dapat kailangan kung gaano ka kalakas or kung ano yung itsura mo, yun dapat.”
