While waiting for his big break to come, Phytos Ramirez uses his free time to go to the gym.

It's also to address the "fat memo" that the GMA management had issued to him twice.

In a recent interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on the said of Oh, My Mama!, he said, "Habang hinihintay ko yung perfect time na ibibigay sa akin ng GMA, ayun, continue lang yung pagwu-workout ko.

"So tuluy-tuloy na yung project."

Last year, after the finale of Let The Love Begin, Phytos admitted, "Tumaba po ako."

Since then, he had made gym workouts and biking part of his daily routine.

After "seven sessions," he began noticing the slight changes in his weight.

Check out the before-and-after selfie he posted in October 2015.

But he gained weight again, and received his second fat memo during the first quarter of 2016.

HIS TRAINER. His dad then returned from Cyprus, where he was once a soldier, to become Phytos's trainer and design a "military"-inspired workout.

The Kapuso actor related, "Umuwi na po siya dito, for good na po.
"Dumating po siya dito before mag-Once Again," which premiered in May 2016.

"And then parang hindi na naman nagiging effective so sabi ko kay Papa, 'Papa, dito ka na lang for good kasi nagge-gain na naman ako, e.

"E, ayoko ng mabigyan ulit ng 'fat memo.'

"So iyon po."

Mr. Koullis Kyriacou arrived last November 10, and was ready for the big move.

Phytos continued, "Ililipat niya po lahat dito ang business," referring to plates and ceramics.

But the first few months will still be on a wait-and-see mode.

In the meantime, he will be his son's trainer/ dietician/ inspiration.

"So 'yon, nagte-thank you naman ako sa kanya."

Only his dad, Phytos said, can make him achieve his desired weight.

CORE TRAINING. What does his dad make him do?

Their father-and-son tandem is now on to another challenge: open a Greek restaurant.

Phytos, whose real name is Neophytos Tuddao Kyriacou, is co-managed by GMA Artist Center and Becky Aguila.
