But because of triathlon, "I don't go out anymore,” Jake said with a smile.

Jake initially got into the run-bike-swim competition because of his character for the upcoming teleserye Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin.

He fell in love with it that it became part of his lifestyle.

These days, "I sleep at 9:30 [pm] and wake up at 5:00 am. I don't go out anymore.

"A lot of my friends miss me. But they understand why I'm doing this.

"Ganun din naman ang level ng commitment na binibigay ko when it comes to work.

"It just so happen that this time around, I've really fallen in love with triathlon."

Jake added about his newfound sport, "It's really invigorating me in so many ways.

He resumed, "I encourage people to do it.

"In the end, when you do things like triathlon and marathon, you learn to love yourself a little bit more and believe in yourself a little bit more.

"So, I really encourage people to do it.”

"Right now, ang uso naman is to be healthy.”

NOT GIVING UP ON LOVE. Given that he sleeps early, wakes up early, and has tapings and trainings, does he still have time for love?

"Triathlon ang ginagawa ko, hindi ako naging pari," he quipped.

Triathlon has taught him to become more disciplined. When he goes out on a date, he makes sure that he goes home early if he needs to wake up early for a training the following day.

"Definitely, I still go out on dates. Pero siyempre, ano lang talaga, it's a responsibility.

"When you know that you have a training at 5 am, you can't go home late.

"I think the people naman, like a lot of friends that I have and know me respect that.

"This is something that I love to do. This is something like acting.

"So ako, hindi na nila ako pinipilit kasi hindi rin naman nila ako mapilit, e.

"Hindi na rin nila ako mapilit kasi when you train like this, 9 pm, it hits you like, 'I wanna sleep.'"

He reiterated, “I still go out on dates. I just go out on wild crazy nights."
