JC Santos is looking for his abs: "Wala sila e, nagtatago pa."

JC Santos has yet to get back his abs: "Kailangan mo munang mag-diet nang matagal, mga two months or three months..."


When he joined showbiz, one thing JC Santos has learned is to be "more maporma."

At the event of YES! 100 Most Beautiful Stars, he tells PEP.ph, "Alam mo, aminado ako na parang kailangan ko mag-grooming, mag-upgrade.

"Kasi taga-U.P. ako na sanay ako sa tsinelas. Sanay akong parang nakatambay lang.

"So ngayon, kailangan ko siyang isipin na, ‘Ah, pag lumalabas ako, kailangan, nakabihis na ako lagi. Hindi na ako puwedeng mag-shirt ng kung anu-ano lang.'"

Another thing he has to learn is the art of "matching."

"Medyo kinakabisado ko pa," he says, laughing.

"Kailangan kung plain sa baba, puwedeng printed sa taas, yung mga ganung matching."

Does he have a stylist?

"Meron. Ito yung isi-send ko muna sa kanya bago ako lumabas. Iyong suot ko, ipapadala ko muna sa phone para i-approve.

"Mahilig ako sa white T-shirt, sabi niya, ‘Buti na lang kasi kahit anong shoes mo diyan, okay ka na.’

"Pero kunwari, ito [referring to his outfit that evening], ‘Okay ba yung brown belt ko?’ ‘Terno ba sa shoes ko,’ mga ganun."

So is he more vain now?

"Parang hindi rin naman...Pero parang siguro dahil nga public figure ka, medyo kailangan conscious ka kahit papa’no.

"Parang people like to see you, support you, 'tapos parang ang dungis mo, pangit, di ba?"

FITNESS. Staying fit however is something he's been serious about since college.

"I'm health conscious," he said.

These days, he trains for one-and-a-half hours to prepare for a "kickboxing role."

JC adds, "Gusto ko rin naman po talaga."

But as for his abs, he says, "Wala sila e, nagtatago pa."

He's not worried though because he knows what to do.

"Kailangan mo munang mag-diet nang matagal, mga two months or three months, yun yung pinakamahirap dun.

"Kailangan mo lang bantayan yung kinakain mo.

"Basta kumakain ka. Mali yung hindi ka kakain. Hindi totoo yun.
