Iya Villania celebrated a win yesterday, October 16, when she beat her personal record for weightlifting.
The 31-year-old TV host-actress successfully did a full snatch of 105 pounds.
Her previous personal record was for a weight of 90 pounds.
According to Kristen Lim, one of Iya’s CrossFit coaches at Avant Garde CrossFit, Iya has been doing CrossFit for six months now.
CrossFit is a fitness regimen developed by Greg Glassman featuring varied functional movements done at high intensity.
In the video, Primo's mom was seen doing a full snatch, a move adapted from Olympic weighlifting.
According to CrossFit.com, a snatch requires lifting a barbell from the floor to an overhead position in one quick motion.
But while the move looks easy, it needs a combination of "strength, coordination, explosiveness, mobility and stability that is not seen in any other exercise."
Iya held the pose for about seven seconds, before doing a dance with her gym mates to celebrate her new personal record.
You better not mess with this weightlifting mama!
