Just because he's a football player does not mean Aly Borromeo no longer goes to the gym.
His sport, according to Harvard Health Publications, can burn as much as "311 calories" after a 30-minute game for people who weigh "155 and 185 pounds."
But Aly still finds the need to do "quick lifting up" sessions and warm-ups for his football game.
He used to accompany KC Concepcion, too.
"Yes! We always... We do a lot of fun good things together," he told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
"I try to motivate her... and she helps me and teaches me also a lot in terms of swimming.
"Swimmer siya kasi dati, e, so I’ve learned a lot from her sa water.
"Sa land naman, ako ang nagtuturo sa kanya."
KC resumed her fitness journey in July 2017, what were the routines Aly taught her?
He replied, "More on strengthen cardio base workout sa gym.
"Sa swimming naman, she helps me, kasi I’m not a good swimmer.
"She teaches simple back stroke, free style lang.
"Iba kasi ang cardio sa football compared sa swimming, e.
"Sa football kasi, takbo-takbo lang.
"Pagdating sa swimming, ang cardio nun, ang weird."
So KC taught him how to swim?
"Yung work-out swimming like endurance swimming and yung basic swimming, yes."
Aly added, "She taught me a lot."
When asked about KC's decision to lie low in showbiz two years ago, Aly said he did not have a say on that.
"No, it’s all on her. She wants to become a great entrepreneur, she has to find all the tools of being successful."
Do they have a business together?
“I have a nutrition company, it’s called Healthy House... we do consultation and food preparations.
"I’ll help her also, I’ll help her in terms of nutrition and in planning meal."
At the time of this interview, he did not give clear indication of their relationship problems.

Clearly, the daughter of Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion has influenced him a lot.
