Lovi Poe broke the Internet earlier this month when she posted on Instagram a nude selfie.
The Kapuso actress left nothing to the imagination of her followers as she channeled her inner Brooke Shields from the 1980 film Blue Lagoon.
In a chat with the 29-year-old star at the Bench Fashion Week 2018 last March 11, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked: Does she feel any pressure maintaining her sexiness?
Lovi quickly replied, “Not really.”
In fact, she doesn't even bother monitoring her body measurements.
She continued, “I don’t really stress myself with that. Not at all.
“It’s not a pressure because I don’t work out to have a good body.
“I work out to feel good every day because honestly, when I wake up in the morning, I work out at least 30 minutes.
“Even if it’s short, as long as I do it all the time—I don’t know, it’s endorphins for me. I need endorphins every day.
“More than having a good body, it’s more of how I feel.”
Endorphins, according to WebMD, are chemicals released by the body when you exercise. They help relieve pain and induce feelings of pleasure or euphoria.
FITNESS JOURNEY. The 29-year-old star made the decision to have a healthy lifestyle nine years ago.
She said, “I guess when I was turning 20, I was starting to be really conscious about my health.
“It’s like I wanted to live a healthier lifestyle.
“There was a time in my life when I was always out, having so much fun partying, then one morning, I just woke up.
"And I just wanna wake up early in the morning and go to the gym and eat healthy food. That’s what happened.”
Lovi has been reaping its positive effects ever since.
“Living a healthy lifestyle actually helps with a lot of things. Helps you concentrate more, helps you go with your day-to-day routine.
“It empowers everybody.”
How about maintaining her bikini body?
She said, “It’s not just about the way you look. It’s the total package.
“Being a sexy woman is not just about someone’s body, it’s about someone’s soul, beautiful soul. Someone who has a beautiful mind as well.
“Being sexy is a holistic thing.”
