To feel good, Lovi Poe works out every day.
She has been doing this for nine years, after making the decision to spend less on parties and night-outs.
But maintaining her slim physique and 23-inch waistline is no longer her primary motivation to head to the gym every morning.
"I work out at least 30 minutes, even if it’s short, as long as I do it all the time—I don’t know, it’s endorphins for me. I need endorphins every day.
"More than having a good body, it’s more of how I feel," she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an interview held in March 2018.
Her routine includes Pilates, which builds strength in the core muscles for better posture, balance, and flexibility.
The Kapuso actress is into boxing, too.
In her recent video, Lovi's caption read, "I punch like a girl."
But her followers disagreed, stating she is a "Batang Poe," and has the "Tatak FPJ," referring to her dad, the late action king Fernando Poe Jr.
Tom Rodriguez commented, "Ayun oh. Tugudugpak...tatak epijey hihi"
Even Carmi Martin was amazed, "Wow galing. [three thumbs up].
Those who did not have the chance to see Fernando Po Jr.'s super punches, here's a scene from his Ang Probinsyano movie.
One of Lovi's followers however was waiting for the "pompiyang" move of FPJ.
"I was waiting for you to clap his face face as a finale the way your dad did, sadly it did not happen. Maybe next time."
By the way, it's Da King's 79th birthday today.
