Thea Tolentino openly talks about her surgery in May 2018 where six cysts were removed from her breast.
Fortunately, they were all non-cancerous.
She said, "Benign naman po. Natanggalan na po ako dati, 2010, benign po. Yung unang tanggal po sa akin, 2010, 'tapos yung recent last May."
Thea's paternal side of the family has a history of breast cancer, so the 21-year-old actress didn't take any chance because of the size and possible growth.
"Ano lang po kasi, ganito na siya kalaki," she said, indicating a one-peso-sized diameter.
She added, "Hindi naman daw po kailangan tanggalin kahit benign. Pero kasi kahit benign po siya, lumalaki. So meron daw po kasing rare cases na kahit benign siya, lumalaki siya ng kasing-laki ng boobs, so kailangang tanggalin talaga."
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) spoke to Thea during the presscon of her new show Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko last October 8, at the GMA Network Center in Quezon City.
The actress also revealed that she was awake during the surgery, but did not feel any pain because of anesthesia.
Was she scared when she discovered more cysts after having her first surgery back in 2010?
Her latest surgery, which was performed by Dr. Exequiel Bing P. Yumang, did not require her to be confined in a hospital.
"Clinic lang po, outpatient po ako."
Did she have a scar from the operation?
