Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres is filled with gratitude after receiving good news from her test results taken last week.

Dayanara, 44, made a surprising announcement last month that she has skin cancer.

After a series of tests, the Puetro Rican beauty queen is happy to report that the cancer "is not spreading," and has not reached any of her organs.

Bearing this good news, Dayanara took to her social media accounts to reach out to those who have prayed for her and supported her through "this very difficult time."

Speaking in her native tongue, she thanked her followers for recommending the documentary Heal, which spoke about the phenomenon of "entanglement" or being connected to one another.

The former Miss Universe titleholder believed that this helped her gather strength throughout this ordeal.

Dayanara, mother of two boys, then asked for more prayers as she begins radiation treatment today, March 1.
