If you have more than one kasambahay or yaya, arguments among them are inevitable.
Like most family issues, these can be resolved in different ways.
For Jolina Magdangal, she deals with the situation by talking to them
She tells PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "Sabi ko, 'Huwag tayo ganyan kasi, tayo, nasa isang bubong tayo. Magtutulungan tayo.
"'Kailangan ang loyalty niyo nasa akin. Tutulungan ko kayo sa buhay ninyo.
"Magtulungan tayo kasi alam ko tinutulungan niyo rin ako bahay, so dapat kayo, magtutulungan din.'"
Jolina wants to treat her helpers equally, and she hopes they treat each other the same way as well.
The ABS-CBN host continues, "Wala iyong, 'O, kunin mo iyon.' Walang magbo-boss-boss sa inyo kasi pare-pareho tayo nagtatrabaho, pare-pareho tayo may inaalagaang pamilya.
"'Tutulungan ko kayo, tutulungan niyo ako. Huwag kayo mag-inisan. Huwag kayo ma-pride. Walang pride sa bawat isa.
"Magtulungan kayo. Makikita ko iyon. Makikita ko sa kilos. 'Nako, may nag-iinisan sa dalawa na ito.' Mararamdaman ko iyon kahit hindi nila sabihin."
Nikka Garcia, in his case, mediates, assess, and listens to her househelpers when arguments happen.
The wife of Patrick Garcia says, "We make sure na wala nagseselos sa isa't isa, so we listen to both sides talaga. Usually, I allow them to make mistakes. I give them timeouts..."
When the fight turns into a screaming match, Nikka intervenes by asking them to pray.
"Kapag malaking away o nagsisigawan sila, 'I think it's time for you to pray.' 'Tapos magpe-pray silang dalawa.
"They do that—prayer.
"When disobedient sila, I ask them to pray aloud. Kasi through their prayer, you hear their thoughts, di ba? You hear ano klaseng bata ito. Ano ba puwede natin baguhin, i-improve, like that."
PEP.ph interviewed Jolina at a lifestyle event last October 29.
