Being quarantined has given Kathryn Bernardo an ample opportunity to explore and appreciate every corner of her home.
She hasn't been able to do this given her busy schedule as an A-list celebrity.
Her favorite spot in the house? Her room, definitely.
She told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) via e-mail in September, "Kasi pag may meetings dito ako sa room, pag nagre-rest dito ako sa room, pag gusto ko mag-isip, dito din ako pupunta, so dito lang nangyayari lahat."
Of late, it's also her favorite spot each time she hangs out with her eight-year-old niece, Lhexine, the daughter of her eldest sister Kristine Chryler.
Kathryn said in this exclusive interview, "Dito kami nanonood ng series ni Lhexine, and dito rin sila tumatambay para magkuwentuhan."
Kathryn is yet to give her fans a tour of her home, but she has been sharing snapshots of her favorite areas.
So far, her Instagram shows that she loves clean white beddings and that she has a dove gray-colored headboard.
Take note of the books the actress reads in bed.
Peeping in, Kathryn pampers herself in her bathroom with a fancy bathtub and surrounded by golden-colored stones.
According to one of her Instagram posts, Kathryn converted one of the areas in her house as a multi-purpose room, which now serves as her office, gym, and entertainment room.
This nook in the living room is where she often shoots her vlogs.
Kathryn said she is grateful for the time out, musing, "Mas naging appreciative ako ngayon.
"Extra appreciative kasi before hindi napapansin yung maliliit na bagay, but ngayon parang doon mo napapahalagahan.
"Una yung mga kaibigan ko. Na-appreciate ko sila especially during this time kasi kahit di nagkikita physically, ma-make sure lang nila na you’re okay and then ganon din ako sa kanila.
"That’s important na meron kang mga taong nakakausap to keep you sane."
More important for Kathryn has been the sudden realization she has been away from her family far too long.
She pondered, "For the past years simula nang nagtrabaho ako, bihira ako mag-spend ng ganitong kahabang time at home, but ngayon grabe ko tine-treasure yung time ko with them kasi ngayon lang uli.
"Nakakausap ko sila nang hindi nagmamadali. Siguro mas naging appreciative lang ako sa life in general na we are so lucky kasi healthy tayo.
"Na-realize ko na pag okay na lahat, mag-enjoy ka talaga and just live life to the fullest kasi hindi mo alam kung ano mangyayari tomorrow or next year.
"Lahat ‘to, hindi natin in-expect so para lang wala kang regrets, dapat enjoy mo yung buhay mo. Yun yung pinaka-importante."
Kathryn has been slowly getting back to work these past few weeks.
Currently, she's gearing up for her TV comeback via a sitcom with her boyfriend Daniel Padilla that will air later this year on the Kapamilya Channel.
