It's Christmas time in Kathryn Bernardo's house and the polar bears are back!
Just like last year, Kathryn called up event stylist Gideon Hermosa to help prepare her home for the yuletide season.
Gideon came with a mission to recycle all the materials he used on last year's Christmas tree.
Kathryn's only request? A red-themed Christmas tree.
"Sabi ko kay Gids, for this year, I wanted something different because apparently never kami nag-red," the young ABS-CBN actress said in her vlog posted on November 16, 2020.
"Parang parati kaming blue kasi gusto ko parati mukhang malamig or kung hindi man kami nag-Christmas tree, nasa ibang bansa kami..."
Kathryn gave Gideon the freedom to decorate the tree according to his vision. The result was a polar bear-themed Christmas tree with the colors of Santa Claus.
Gideon repainted some of the decors from last year to fit the theme.
He also used locally handcrafted materials to give the tree more texture and elements.
In the same vlog post, Gideon said it's wise to invest in a good Christmas tree.
"Important to invest sa Christmas tree mismo, kasi iyong mga ibang ginawan kong bahay, iyong Christmas tree nila parang 10 years na nasa kanila.
"So every year, chini-change lang namin iyong color or dinagdagan ng ibang layer. Pero iyong base niya, same pa din."
The event stylist also advised choosing "classic Christmas decors," so that they can be used for any theme.
