Pinoy Big Brother: Otso Big Winner Yamyam Gucong dreams of giving his family a better life and home, and he is making it happen.
On Tuesday, September 28, 2021, Yamyam revealed in an Instagram post he has started building a new house for his family in his hometown Inabanga in Bohol despite the challenges brought on by the pandemic.
The Kapamilya comedian shared an update on the construction of the house, "Totoo pala talaga sabi nila ang hirap magpatayo ng bahay sa gitna ng pandemya [emoji] lasap na lasap ko ang pressure at budget [emoji] #parasapamilya"

Yamyam's fellow PBB batchmate Andre Brouillette wrote an encouraging comment, "Wow nice one yamyam, never stop praying bro. God will give you strength. [emoji]."

To which Yamyam replied, "God is with us [praying and heart emojis]"

Yamyam is currently with his family in Bohol, and doing some farming.
He shared a glimpse of his life as a farmer on his YouTube channel.
In his vlog dated April 7, 2021, Yamyam recalls helping his family harvest rice grains when he was growing up: "Ito yung ginagawa ko kapag walang pasok sa paaralan, kumbaga summer.
"Ito yung mga ginagawa namin, nag-aani kami muna... nag-iimbak muna ng palay para meron kaming makain, meron kaming baon na kanin sa paaralan."
The 27-year-old Kapamilya talent has been living in the city in his brand new condominium unit in Quezon City, which was part of his price for winning the reality show.
He has also invested his cash prize in a bakeshop business named "Yamito's Bakeshop."
Yamyam opened the first branch of his bakery on his 26th birthday last December 8, 2019. He opened another branch in Ubay, Bohol, on March 8, 2020.
