Kathryn Bernardo's dream home for her parents is at least 40% complete.
On Wednesday, January 5, 2022, the 25-year-old Kapamilya star took to Instagram to share updates about the construction of the house.
Based on the photos, workers are almost done building the second level of Kathryn's future home in Antipolo, Rizal.
Some of the photos and videos showed Kathryn shoveling the cement to be used in building their house.
"Site visit. Jan ‘22 [house emoji]," the Hello, Love, Goodbye star wrote in the caption of her post.
Kathryn's celebrity friends were also happy to see her a step closer to achieving one of her biggest dreams.
Her boyfriend Daniel Padilla was among the first to leave a comment and said, "YAHOO!!!!!
Daniel added, "EXCITING TIMES!!!"
Other celebrities who left comments on Kathryn's post were Axel Torres, Ria Atayde, Dominique Cojuangco, Lovely Abella, and Melai Francisco, among many others.
The construction of Kathryn's dream home began in March 2020.
Kathryn, her parents Teddy and Min Bernardo, sister Chrysler and niece Lhexine, and Daniel were all present at the simple groundbreaking ceremony.
On August 3, 2021, the ABS-CBN actress gave her Instagram fans another update on the construction of her future home.
"Slowly getting there.. [house emoji] I can’t believe it’s finally happening! [emoji]," she wrote in the caption of her post.
In a previous interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Kathryn said she initially planned on starting the construction before the pandemic happened, in 2019.
The Kapamilya star revealed that this house and lot is actually her gift for her parents. She bought the property sometime in 2016.
At the time, she said, "Hindi joke magpagawa ng bahay. Siyempre, kung may gusto akong ibigay kay Mama na dream house, iyong dream house na niya.
"So magtatrabaho pa ako, and, hopefully, maka-start iyon soon kasi tatlong taon nang nandun iyong lupa. Sabi na lang namin, someday, uunti-untiin natin iyan."
