“I’m really proud of how it came out. It was a very good collaboration between us and the professionals that we hired,” kuwento niya sa OG.

BEFORE THE HOUSE WA BUILT
“We ended up buying a lot,” ani Ricky.
“It was love at first site—very serene, very tranquil, ‘tapos over-looking ang Laguna Lake, and then you have a city view. So that’s what clinched it.”
“So we had to look for a property, so we could have a rest house,” aniya.

how the hexagonal house came to be
Nakipag-ugnayan siya sa kanyang batchmate na architect.
Kuwento ni Ricky: “Nung nag-meeting kami, he showed me this drawing of his, which is parang like a beehive, which is hexagonal shape.
“And, oh my gosh, we just loved the idea. My wife said, ‘Oh, yes!’ So tuloy na namin. We agreed to have his design followed.”
THE HIVE OUT
At dahil nga mukhang beehive, tinawag itong Hive Out.
Sabi ni Ricky, “We wanted to veer away from the traditional. Pag tiningnan mo parang it will catch your attention.”

Mayroon ding al-fresco dining at bonfire areas.
Meron din itong sariling toilet and bath.

MORE THAN JUST A BEAUTIFUL HOUSE

RICKY’S ADVICE TO HOMEOWNERS
“You need professional help. At first, you think gastos, pero in the end, I think you will be able to find out na it’s worth the expenses.
“Treat it as an investment,” sabi niya.
“Once you are able to see the finished product, it’s well worth it.”
Isa pang importanteng payo niya: “Just try to get land first.
“It’s really important [to have] a house over your head.”
