Kris Aquino turned nostalgic in her latest Instagram post, sharing her personal benchmarks for gauging a city or town’s prosperity from an outsider's perspective.

She recalled going on road trips to various parts of the country after the passing of her mother, former President Corazon “Cory” Aquino, in August 2009, and equating a town’s prosperity with the number of thriving businesses and services available to its residents.

Kris cited the presence of established banks with well-lit ATMs, popular fast-food chains, several money exchange and remittance outlets, major car dealerships, reputable hospitals, universities that "have produced top 10 graduates in board-certified courses," shopping malls, well-planned memorial parks, and reliable internet connectivity as her indicators of a prosperous city or town.

She was notably detailed in her descriptions, even mentioning some of her favorite brands.

For ATM, she said "at least 2 & ma-ilaw."

A gasoline station should have "maraming gasoline pumps."

And certain restaurants must be in sight: "Starbucks McDonald’s and Jollibee face to face and even better if there was Max’s Fried Chicken (these days most celebrations are held in Max), several Japanese & Korean..."

She also remembered one of her old cars, a Kia Carnival, and mentioned her wish of climbing "our Toyota Grandia Elite with no assistance (my nurse inside to pull me up and Bimb to push me- super struggle and for a few days painful my knees and lower back)."

Kris to the public: "HINDI AKO SNOB."

Kris hinted at going somewhere in the coming days as she continues to undergo treatment for autoimmune disease.

NOOD KA MUNA!

"If you see someone in a colorful mask, an orange wheelchair, shopping for groceries and toilet paper—that’s me, hindi ako snob—my nurse will have ethyl alcohol and a yellow mask if you want a picture," remarked Kris.

She also mentioned some of her immediate plans.

"Mag check ng possible schools for Bimb, SPED therapy for kuya, and maghanap ng bahay to rent for us to feel if this is home..."

Bimby is 18, while Josh is 30.

REMEMBERING HER LATE BROTHER

Kris ended her post on a wistful note, remembering her late brother, former President Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Aquino III.

"Noy, your beloved room gets the least light, in heaven hindi pikon d iba?" said Kris.

Noynoy passed away on June 24, 2021, due to renal disease, secondary to diabetes.

Continued Kris: "The 2 boys & i will sleep there. Your face and your 'behave kristina, joshy, BIMB!' We miss you [crying emoji]."
