Before moving into a condo unit in Makati City, Anne Curtis used to live in a private subdivision outside Metro Manila, where the houses—all of them American-style—have identical exteriors.
The Kapamilya star told the YES! team in 2010 that she wanted to come home to a Southern suburban place that is away from the frenzy of the metropolis.
“That’s why ’yong weather, it’s so hard to predict.
“It’s totally different.
“I really like the fresh air here.”
On the style of her home, Anne chose a good mix of the contemporary and the traditional.
“Sinabi ko ’yong style na gusto ko—very modern-touch, pero still classic-looking na hindi maa-out-of-date.
"'Yong style na gusto ko, very Victorian but not too vintage.
“They just showed me swatches and designs. Na-achieve nila. Hindi ko mahahanap lahat ng pieces if not for them.”
Putting her own house together proved to be a challenging endeavor for her.
She then recalled how she needed to cut back on her spending just to keep the renovation going.
