Nino Muhlach says the birthday of his son Alonzo has always been a major family event.
The child star celebrated his 6th birthday with a Star Wars-themed party held at the 500 Shaw Centrum, Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City, on February 25.
But according to Niño, Alonzo's first birthday was the grandest.
It was carnival-themed, and was held at the Zoom Treetop Adventure, Circulo Verde, Bagumbayan, Quezon City.
The former child wonder said it was like his treat or reward to his Alonzo—who, despite his commitments in showbiz, has been topping his kindergarten class.
“Feeling ko kasi talaga, he deserved it.
So feeling ko, talagang he deserved it."
SCHOOL OR SHOWBIZ? At present, Alonzo is part of TV5's Happy Truck Happinas and Ang Panday.
What if more projects will come his way? Will Alonzo sacrifice his studies?
"Palagi akong sa I.S. [International School], never akong nag-home school.
Homeschooling is not part of the options.
“No, no, hindi ako naniniwala run,” he said.
For now, what's important is Alonzo has been enjoying his childhood, and appreciating what he has.
“Si Alonzo naman, marunong naman siyang mag-appreciate.
"I’ve always taught him how to appreciate things.
"Kahit yung maliliit na bagay, naa-appreciate niya.”
