Say Alonzo: "I am enjoying family life."

Say Alonzo on becoming mom: "Mas siguro naging patient ako kasi dati nung wala akong anak, sobrang impatient ko."

Say Alonzo has been enjoying her status as a married woman for almost five years now.

The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate tied the knot on July 11, 2011, with a non-showbiz guy named Ryan Tordesillas.

At the Make Your Own Havaianas 2016 event, she told (Philippine Entertainment Portal), “Okay na okay, hiyang, at masaya.

“I am enjoying family life, spending time with my husband and my son.”

MOTHERHOOD. Completing Say’s happy married life is her son Asher, who will be turning two on October 2.

So far, what has she learned about motherhood?

Say answered, “I had more love and appreciation for all the moms out there, especially my mom and my grandmother who took care of me.

“So talagang sabi ko mahirap talagang maging mommy.

“Mas siguro naging patient ako kasi dati nung wala akong anak, sobrang impatient ko.

“Mas mahaba talaga yung pasensya ko now.

“Isa pa lang yung anak ko pero minsan iniisip ko kunwari kapag magkakaroon ako ng isa pa, parang ang hirap.

“Na-appreciate ko yung mommy ko na lima kami.”

Motherhood has also brought changes to Say’s life.

She's now an early riser.

The reason, according to Say, “I still breastfeed my son, he’s one year and six months old.

“He wakes up in the middle of the night, a couple of times to breastfeed.

“So I am exclusively breastfeeding him talaga, and I wake up super earlier talaga.”

She has not been getting enough sleep, too.

But just by looking at her son, all these little sacrifices have been paying off.

With a smile, she ended, “Hindi siya sakitin 'tapos lagi siyang playful, sobra siyang healthy.”
