Rufa Mae Quinto has her hands full in preparing for her wedding, which is set to take place in the still-closed Ortigas branch of Blue Leaf Events Place.
Last February, the comedienne announced her engagement to non-showbiz fiancé Trev Magallanes, a Filipino-Chinese guy who was raised in the U.S.
In an interview with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and a few members of the press, Rufa Mae revealed that the wedding be this coming November, which happens to be Trev’s birthday month.
“Birthday niya 'yon. Para isang celebration na lang. Happy birthday, Happy Thanksgiving din, and happy wedding,” quipped the actress during the celebrity gathering for presidential candidate Mar Roxas on May 3.
Her entourage will include LJ Moreno (matron of honor), Aiko Melendez, Ai-Ai delas Alas, and Joyce Jimenez.
Are they going to stay in the U.S.?
DESTINY. Now 37 years old, Rufa Mae mused about her failed relationships in the past.
“Siguro tamang ready na rin ako talaga mismo as a woman, as a lady.
“Siguro before, bukod sa di kami destiny, di pa iyon time na ready ako, ready ang lahat.
“Siguro totoo nga yung destiny, at the same time, you should know what you really want."
What made her think Trev is the one?
“Puwedeng pagsamahin: may destiny, meron din yung choice mo. Siyempre, love din. You wanna make it right.
“Totoo pala yung maririnig mo yung kalembang, hear the wedding bells.
“Totoo. Kahit saan ka pumunta may mga music 'tapos may lumalakad na ikinakasal 'tapos hanggang sa may buntis kahit saan, parang lagi na lang.
“And because I listened to myself, ano ba talaga ang gusto ko.”
Looking at the sparkle in her eyes and the glow on her face, Rufa Mae has found what she's been looking for.
