Since she was a kid, Janine Gutierrez had always imagined what her future "room" would look like.
In the October issue of YES! Magazine, she said, "Since bata ako, I never had my own room.
"So, siyempre, kapag nagshe-share ka, di ba kailangan, isipin mo din iyong mga gusto ng mga kasama mo.
"So I always had this image in my head, iyong parang pag nagkakuwarto ako, gusto ko ganito, ganyan."
But with her recent successes in showbiz, Janine was able to afford not just a room but a home of her own.
In April 2016, she moved in to her 92-square-meter condo unit on a quiet street in San Juan City.
Janine, who turned 27 this October 2, acquired the property with some help from a bank in 2015.

Janine shared first learned about the condo when she was around 24 or 25 years old.
She felt then that she wasn't ready yet to live on her own.
But when she found out that someone else was interested in that same property.
"Sobrang nalungkot ako, kasi medyo perfect na siya. I really like the location."
The area is in between Fairview, Quezon City, where her dad Monching Gutierrez lives, and BF Homes, Paranaque, where her mother Lotlot de Leon now resides.
But the place was meant for her. When she heard that it was up for sale again, she didn't let the opportunity pass this time.
For the unit's interior design, the Once Again star spent her very own earnings.
She hired Theressa Asis, her "kinakapatid," to decorate her dream place.
"Talagang pinag-ipunan ko. Kami ang pumili ng lahat--iyong floor, iyong lights, every thing talaga."
Thus, the renovation period took quite some time.
Finally, when it was completed, she told YES!, "Nagpasama ako [referring to one of her friends]. Kasi kahit matulog, hindi pa rin ako sanay mag-isa noong una, since sa kuwarto namin before, tatlo kaming magkakapatid.
"So parang biglang na-feel ko na nakakatakot pala."
Janine added, "Pero nakakatuwa din pala to have your own space na parang puwede kang makapagpahinga na wala kang iniisip."
