Apart from gearing up for their wedding in April, Coleen Garcia and Billy Crawford are also busy preparing their new home in Quezon City.
On January 1, 2018, the Kapamilya couple gave their Instagram followers a sneak peek of what they fondly call the #CrawfordCrib.
BLANK CANVAS. In an exclusive interview with Coleen last February 13, she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that it's currently a work in progress.
The Star Magic talent said, "Actually we had the home since a couple of months ago, pero it's under renovation lang.
"Dream talaga namin noon na magpatayo ng bahay, but that requires a lot of work and it's very tedious.
"It requires time that we don't have, so it's hard, it's kind of impossible for us to do now.
"We also want to be able to move in to a nice house already that's very us.
"So we found a house na, kumbaga, it was a blank canvass to us.
"We changed the flooring, we changed the paint, several other things in order for it be more suited to our personalities.
"We're not there yet, I don't think we'll be there until right before the wedding [when] we can move our stuff in.
"I don't even know, baka after the wedding pa kami mag-move in.".
The major attraction of the house, according to the bride-to-be was it felt like a vacation home.
Coleen narrated, "It's resort-type... importante sa akin yung pag-uuwi sa bahay para akong nagbabakasyon.
"Parang ang sarap lang, kasi even when I travel, I realized when I was at home with my parents...
"Hilig na hilig ako magbakasyon kasi, 'Ay hotel room, sarap' and all of that.'
"I used to stay kasi in the same room with my dad and my brothers.
"So pag nagho-hotel ako, ang sarap; pag nagho-hotel ako, namimiss ko naman yung bahay.
"And I always want to have that feeling na wherever I go, mas okay pa rin sa bahay."
FIT FOR FAMILY. Colleen said the other thing she loves about their new home is the space.
With seven rooms, it is big enough to build a family and then some.
"Sobrang sakto siya for us," she said, "kasi we needed an office, a studio for Billy's music.
"We needed a family room kasi right now, pag nanonood kami ng movies...
"Lahat kami, even with my brothers, my family, we all stay in the room.
"Meron na kaming parang formal na family room.
"So importante sa amin yun since we love to entertain, especially our family.
"So ayun, may future room for when we have a family.
"One room dedicated for our clothes lang na for our walk-in closet.
"Kasi pareho kaming artista, he has a daily show and ako naman teleserye.
"We really have so much stuff, sakto naman yung size for us.
"But yung seven rooms na 'yan, maliliit lang naman yung cut."
Her favorite spot in their new home?
Coleen revealed, "Right now we have a nook, a reading nook.
"That's where we'll also have the cat houses.
"The reading nook is against a big window,nasa labas nun is a vertical garden.
"So we can read by the plants and it's just very serene."
Their new house, according to Coleen, doesn't have a pool, but it has a spacious garden.
She said they're planning to build a farm house with a pool in her hometown in La Union.
She told PEP.ph, "Balak din namin in the future to have a house in La Union.
Kasi I'm from La Union, and we have a farm there.
"Dun kami magpapagawa ng malaking house na may pool, mas malaking garden, and everything.
"So we have something to look forward also, na parang weekend getaway."
HEIM INTERIORS. Coleen and Billy have contracted Heim Interiors for the renovation of their home.
She said, "We like Heim because they're very thorough, they'e very meticulous on every detail.
"And we really need that right now, just like our wedding planning.
"We're on top of everything, but we also trust the people that we hire."
Coleen and Billy's house is handled by Heim Interior's creative director and principal designer, Rossy Anne Rojales; project designer, Barbra Lauren Sy; marketing director, Robert Rojales, and project associate, Arch. Paolo Tejero.
In an e-mail exchange with PEP.ph, Rojales said Coleen and Billy have specified a modern retreat concept for their new home.
The celebrity interior designer wrote, "Blending elements from tropical Asian designs, the Modern Retreat concepts takes into considerations some of the couples favorite places.
"Keywords that came out of the brainstorming and interview session includes the following : cozy, natural, practical, green, unpolished and pet-friendly."

With regard to their furniture choices, Heim's principal designer told PEP.ph, "Furniture choices are very much consistent, with raw wood elements and a coherent and airy color scheme that makes it a restful modern retreat as the design intended."
About Coleen and Billy as clients, Rojales wrote, "The couple will be quite busy but they are very responsive and so easy to work with.
"From the start, both participated in our brainstorming sessions and helped come out with the concept that they approved of."
According to Rosales, they've designed a pet-friendly home since Billy and Coleen have several cats.
She said further, "They are are not extravagant but put values on what they feel matters most.
"There are some things that they did decide to have something not too ordinary, including a Sonos wireless sound system across the different areas of the house and an ATMOS Home Theater for the den.
"They also decided to have a good Internet infrastructure in place to prepare for future home automation."
