Derek Ramsay's home in Alabang, Muntinlupa, measures nearly 600 square meters, with two floors and four bedrooms.

This March, Derek Ramsay once again opens the doors of his personal space to YES! magazine, nine months after he showed his family’s beachfront property in Palawan.

Derek proudly presents his Alabang, Muntinlupa home, in which he personally supervised the construction and the overall look he himself designed.

It measures nearly 600 square meters, with two floors and four bedrooms.

His bedroom occupies half of the second floor, but this is not where he spends most of his time.

He’s usually all of over the place to check on things.

“Pag nandito ako sa bahay, lagi akong nag-aayos,” the 41-year-old actor, athlete, and product endorser said.

“Everything has to be in place.”

Indeed, the celebrity homeowner’s meticulous attention to detail is seen and felt all over his own domain.

Every spot is perfect for a shot, and any decor item is a conversational piece. But the overall look doesn’t intimidate.

It’s actually inviting, for instance, to sit on the expensive-looking sofa, couch, and chairs or maybe to hang out in the den on the ground floor and in the foyer on the second floor.

A dip in the pool may prove to be irresistible, too.

Derek shares his Alabang house with his girlfriend Joanne Villablanca, who’s a commercial model and a fitness buff.

Joanne is a single mom with a 10-year-old daughter named Sophie, whom Derek dotes on.

Sophie has her own room in Derek’s house, and the actor designed it as well.

Derek sees himself settling down with Joanne.

“I mean, why would I be in this relationship if I didn’t, di ba?” he pointed out.

“You clearly see that I share everything with her, and how much I adore and love her daughter, so it would be a complete waste of time.

“And habang tumatanda ka, your time gets shorter, so it would be a complete waste of time to be committed to somebody without looking at your future together.

“So most definitely, it will happen in the next three to five years.”
