Celebrity dining rooms: where stars have their feasts

The dining area in their homes is where stars kick up their shoes and relax.

In every household, the dining room brings together the family for festive occasions and special bonding moments.

It is also special place for these busy stars to kick off their shoes and relax. Take a look:

Alex and Toni Gonzaga

The dining room of the Gonzaga family is furnished with a six-seater table from Ethan Allen and a buffet cabinet where china decorations and antiques are stored.

Toni now has her own family and home with husband Paul Soriano and their baby.

Carla Abellana

Carla and her family have customized the chairs in their dining area.

“Pinagawa lang ’to ni Mommy,” she tells YES! magazine.

The same is true for the lattice-work wall decor.

But the wall scheme that Carla ordered somewhere was her idea.

It was originally white, but she had it painted black.

Eugene Domingo

The centerpiece in the Kapuso comedienne's dining room is the table—and what a table!

The legs of the table are wrapped in tobacco leaves and coated with a sealant.

The complete piece from the home store Ito Kish was designed by the Cebu-based talent Vito Selma.

The feasting room chandelier, designed by Eugene’s decorator, is created from a bonsai trunk.

It is spray-tinted in black, silver, and white, and then decorated with bulbs and glass angel wings.

Iza Calzado

The feasting table in her dining area is from Designs Ligna.

The woody chairs are all custom-made.

The four dining seats with backrests are made of concrete wood with mother-of-pearl finish.

The scheme of the remaining chairs with curved backrests took inspiration from an article in a home design magazine.

Janice De Belen

Cooking nerds will have a field day in the celebrity chef's kitchen with all its attractive culinary appliances.

Janice's much-used and much-loved crockery is on the top shelf.

She preserves her plates inside the cabinet.

“You’ll be surprised, I have very few plates.

"I have so many condiments.” the actress says.

Her plates are mostly Multiple Choice and Corelle brands.

She also shops at the flea marketplaces of Dapitan for multi-colored platters.

John Lloyd Cruz

The feasting room/table in the Kapamilya actor's family home area can accommodate 10 people.

The table made of narra was from Linea Furniture.

Meanwhile, two Murray Feiss chandeliers hang above the wooden table.

He typically had his favorite breakfast—tuyo, tinapa, itlog na pula—on the table beside the glass window.

John Lloyd now lives with girlfriend Ellen Adarna in an undisclosed place.

Kim Chiu

It's no surprise to find her dining area adorned with Chinese ornaments.

Feng shui expert Joy Lim, with whom Kim consulted during the construction of her home, recommended a shade of blue on her walls to balance the fire element in the close kitchen.

Kris Aquino

The glass dining table was used by her late mother Corazon Aquino’s home on Times Street in Quezon City, but it was revamped to fit the current color scheme of Kris' home.

The wooden base, previously brownish gold in color, has a lacquered red finish.

Kris commented with amusement, “Oh my God, kung alam lang ng mom! Pula na table niya!”

Matteo Guidicelli

There is no partition between the living and dining areas of the Guidicelli home.

The ten-seater wooden dining set comes from his mom Glenna’s parents while the red antique Chinese console table behind it is a purchase from an antique shop in the States.

Sharon Cuneta

This long dining table in the Megastar's dining room can seat 12 people.

It has fleur-de-lis artefacts on each corner, another find in Paris.

“I got this from one of the weekend markets,” Sharon says. “It’s old, old wood, but the structure is new.

"Siguro, bulok na iyong ilalim or something, so they fixed it.

"But the table itself, when I got it, it was about 85 years old.

"So siguro, ngayon, magwa-one-hundred-years na siya!

"And they were explaining, the fleur-de-lis is the insignia used before by royalty, di ba?”

Vice Ganda

The glass feasting table and the matching covered seats are all custom-made by Contemporaneo.

The LED lights chandeliers were provided by Illuminati, a store specializing in lighting fixtures and a favorite among the stars.
