Alden Richards had his grandparents in mind when he bought his two-story house in Laguna. Meanwhile, Daniel Padilla purchased the 1,000-square-meter mansion in Quezon City as a gift to his mom Carla Estrada.

These stars have one thing in common: They all bought and designed their houses to suit the needs of their respective families.

Alden Richards

Currently residing in an exclusive village in Laguna, he had his grandparents in mind when he bought the 300-square-meter house and lot.

In an exclusive interview with YES! magazine, he said, "My grandparents, kung saan kami nakatira before, e, sa sala lang natutulog. 'Tapos yung tinutulugan ng lolo ko, may chip pa 'yong bed."

"'Tapos, we didn't have enough rooms pa."

So when he went house-hunting, his major requirement was, "Dapat merong room sa baba."

He added, "Pag walang room sa baba, regardless of how it looks, hindi pasok."

Daniel Padilla

Daniel, at age 19, gave his mom Carla Estrada a memorable Christmas gift: A 1,000-square-meter Modern-Mediterranean home with eight bedrooms in an exclusive subdivision in Fairview, Quezon City.

He said, "'Yong kasiyahan ko, pati na rin ng pamilya ko, iba talaga. Priceless!"

Carla herself admitted that she waited more than 25 years to have a place that she could truly call her own.

"Twenty-five years ako nangupahan. Kasi, no'ng kapanahunan ko naman, hindi talaga kakayanin ang bumili ng bahay."

He gifted his Mommy Amy with a three-bedroom house in Diamond Bar, a quiet neighborhood in Los Angeles County, California, USA.

The 1,200-square-meter property features a lawn, a swimming pool, and a separate cottage for the actor.

The size of the lot that he originally purchased was 800 square meters.

Then he bought the empty 300-square-meter lot behind his property, so there would be an additional space for his siblings.

He told YES! magazine, "...para mas lumaki iyong bahay ng mga kapatid ko."

Over the years, a total of 900-square-meter lots were added to his lot area, which now totals 2,000 square meters.

Coco made sure that the ground floor would have ample space for his Lola Matilde's bedroom, which has its own spacious walk-in closet and bathroom.

A swimming pool was also built for his nephews and nieces.

The Kapamilya star said, "Noong bata ako, kami ng mga pinsan ko, parati kami sa ilog. Tuwing hapon, naliligo kami sa ilog, kaya gusto ko may swimming pool para sa mga pamangkin ko."
