Sue Ramirez already had an alternative career in mind in case her dream of becoming an actress didn't push through.
"Gusto ko mag-law! I want to study law," the 22-year-old ABS-CBN star told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during her billboard launch party last May 12.
"If magkaroon ako ng chance in the future, why not?"
The idea of pursuing law came from her mom, who works as a labor leader.
Sue said, "Sabi ng nanay ko, mag-law daw ako kasi mahilig ako sa diskusyon. Yun daw nababagay sa akin.
"Sabi ko, 'Mana lang naman ako sa iyo.' And yeah, I actually get it from her."
Sue sees her mom as her "biggest inspiration."
The Belo endorser continued, "Nasa labor kasi siya, so yun yung kinalakihan ko na trabaho ng mommy ko. How I see my mom when she works.
"Ang ginagawa ng mommy ko, nagtatanggol siya ng mga empleyado. Feeling ko siguro that's my biggest inspiration.
"She's my biggest inspiration talaga. She's always been the best role model for me.
"She's the wisest person I know, and she's the most practical and wisest person na kilala ko talaga. I really look up to her."
When does Sue plan to pursue law?
"There's no such thing as timeline. I can do whatever I want at any age that I want," the young actress said.
"Ayoko bigyan ng limitations and boundaries ang sarili ko.
"Basta hanggang sa makakayanan ko at wala akong tinatapakang ibang tao and my health is not at risk, I'll go for it."
